Squeaking brakes
I just bought our work van from my shop. 97 Venture, 100,000 miles great shape. I have all maintance records also. Anyway the brakes have always been a issue on this van, really the only problem. They were just done by a good Chevy dealer about 8,000 miles ago. They work ok and pads looks good, but they squeal when you first apply them. It's pretty annoying if you ask me. Any suggestion? I have heard ceramic pads might help. Are they worth a try?

Re: Squeaking brakes
Ceramics might work, they might not. Taking a file and knocking down the corners of the pad ever so slightly also might do the trick. Some pads are just noisy.
