fuel injector cleaner

I just replaced my fuel filter. Is this a good time to run fuel injector cleaner through the fuel system? I read a thread a while back that someone said the cleaner just breaks up junk and it sits in the fuel filter and that you should only use the injector cleaner as soon as you get the fuel filter changed....any thoughts would be appreciated.

Re: fuel injector cleaner

A more expensive option would be to try this service called Motorvac.

It's $120, but basiclly mechanics hook a machine up to your fuel system and it substitutes heavy detergents for your gasoline.

Something to consider.

I had that done recently and noticed better throttle response and it runs smoother.

GM makes a fuel system cleaner that you dump into a nearly empty tank that I hear works well.
