"Inside 9/11"

How many of you caught 'Inside 9/11' on The National Geographic Channel? I found it thoroughly enjoyable and very interesting. There were two comments on the piece that really caught me.

The first being the obvious and actually terrifying truth spoken by one of the reporters or author (I can't remember) who said (paraphrse) "it's going to take another 9/11 to make everyone realize how serious of a problem we have right now."

It doesn't get any clearer than that. When 9/11 happened we all put aside our differences, quit our bickering and realized the very real and vivid threat we have knocking on our door. But time seems to make everyone forget regardless of our views on war, that we have to do whatever it takes to find these individuals, these groups, these extremists. We can't be sissies. That includes making sure that our intelligence and leadership, everything it takes to keep an eye on these people is in as close to perfect running order as possible with contingency plans in place. If we don't it's only a matter of time when a bigger more horrific attack happens here again.

The second comment was that made by Bin Laden. "We love death. The U.S. loves life. That is the difference between us."

That comment is just erie in every direction and context.

I missed the show - I'll have to catch a rerun. Sounds like they did a good job in making it.

More like "it only took one 9/11 to rush into a war and try to adress the issues that should have been delt with long ago"

And I'm sure that Bin Laden extract wasn't taken out of context

Did it shed light on the subject in an un-bias manner? That would be cool if they could set aside all politics. I'll have to catch it some time.

That’s the one reason why I couldn’t stand watching Fahrenheit 9/11. Fahrenheit brought up lots of really good points, & questions, but all Michael Moore seem to want to do was bash Bush, & make a mockery of him. It was more politics & less investigating.

I agree. All Moore's film did was cause Bush's political base and supporters to rally and was probably one factor that contributed to his re-election.

I believe Moore was quoted as saying that he probably helped G.W. more than hurt him.

Does Inside 9/11 cover the Saudi Connection? I was stationed in Saudi Arabia from 1987 - 1990 and they hated us back then.

You don't persuade anyone by inflating the facts and being unwilling to give any credit to the other side on any argument. Moore did have some devastating information, that could have had a profound impact on viewers, if he would have kept some of his bias out of the movie.
