ok another question from a car noob,

recently my rear suspension has seemed kind of bouncy, and its making a little noise. i ahve no experiance with cars but i woudl asume something is going bad, im hopefully going to have it looked at this week.

can someone give me a short eplaination of a suspesion system? i have been looking for some suspension upgrades, because i figure if i need to replace something i might as well replace it with a performance part.

anotehr question i have is what exactly does a coil-over replace?
just the spring or the whole shock/strut/spring. sry but im totally new to the car thing, ill be trying to find these answers myself but any help is appreciated

ty, Cas

i believe a "coil over" will replace the strut and the spring, from your desctiption it sounds like your struts are bad that would explain the bouncy ride but you prolly dont need new springs
