Have to get new ones, Sorry but I have done the same and LT1's are way more expensive cause of the Opti end. So considering yourself lucky.

Cant you just cut out the bad section and solder it back together only a little shorter and wrap it in electric tape?

Re: burned spark plug wire

What he said. You can use duct tape to seal a hole in a cracked intake duct too but is that a good idea?. I think not. Just get yourself some new wires with some new silicone jackets and put them in the right way this time.

Re: burned spark plug wire

Get some header wrap aswell, i think it will help against burning them wires. I'm temporarly (spelling please) using some aluminum foil (i'm a broke bastard, i know) around the wires that touch the headers and it's works just fine.

This is why I tell everybody that when you change your plugs and wires, save the better of the old wires as emergency backup. Same applies for belts (serps especially)

Re: burned spark plug wire

well i got the problem fixed... what i did is i cut the wire where it was burned and just put the boot back on it....and since it was too short i just swithced it out with one of the longer ones and now everythings good....and link i would never buy header wraps...they dont let the engine breath an no header company will not warrenty their headers if you put those wraps on...im just going to buy some wire wrap though...do they make that stuff.
