1996 Catalytic Converter

Hi All,

My mechanic just told he that he couldn't find a converter for my '96 Bonnie. He said he could find the '97 and the '95 but no '96. He said he would have to go to the dealer and the price could be much higher.

I just checked a few sites and found the same problem. One site actually had all the '90's but no converter for '96.

One simple question - could I simply use the '97 converter?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I was hoping someone here might be able to help.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me on this.

Should be able to use a '97 cat in your '96. Something isn't sounding right here. Check with another mechanic, a second opinion if you will.

Try an aftermarket one, I think Flowmaster make them.
