Hot Cam Question

Im interested in putting the Lt4 Hot Cam into my 95 Z28. it can get 525/525 lift with the 1.6 rockers. Well i dont want to screw with the top of the engine, so can i have the cam without putting in the rockers? Or is it benefitial to put the rockers in too. How much of a hp/torque gain am i looking at if i just put in the cam, and what about with the rockers too.

Thanks

theres the link for the cam too...

Re: Hot Cam Question

You will not get .525 lift without 1.6's, you will get .492 which will be almost equal to you just putting 1.6 rockers on your current cam and changing rockers is so easy I think I could teach a chimp to do it. Take off valve covers, remove nut and rockers re-install. Plus you will need to take out the push rods to get the lifter out anyway, so the valve covers have to be removed and the rockers loosened anyway. A cam is a pretty big job and if your going to do it, DO IT RIGHT , PS the hotcam is the shit. Perfect street/strip cam IMO.

Last time I checked the cam runs the valve train, so I guess your question is void?

if i ever spun a rod on my lt1, i'd sooner put in a 383 or something rather than just replace it... if you have it out, might as well upgrade i always say...

Re: Hot Cam Question

ahahahahahahaha

And there wouldn't be any jack stands involved, so you would be probably be able to pick it up in the same time as the chimp .
