door chime

is there a fuse or something to disarm the open door chime. i really dont feel like taking the cylinder apart. also is there a way to stop that damn shift light from coming on.

for the light - just shift - it lights only if you are at red line or if the next gear will give you better economy(the only other it has come on for me is with a sliping clutch) if it bugs you that much, pull the bulb or put electrical tape over it.

how about just cutting the tan black wire. which on the diagrams goes to the door chime what do ya think. cause i dont feel like taking the cylinder out. i am a cut and run kinda guy.

o.k. what i did was took the lower panel on the driver side center console there is a square red box (when it chimes you can feel it vibrate). there is a tab on top you push that in and it comes right out. yeah......no more %$#%in chime. dont pull the fuse cause then your stereo wont work. thanx guys for nothin haha.
