Re: Performance Power Pulleys?

it will give you a small boost in power, maybe 2-5hp at MOST.

It is a worthwhile addition along as you do it right.

Re: Performance Power Pulleys?

And doing it right would be..just the installation of it you mean?
Also..do these require use of a different sized belt?

Re: Performance Power Pulleys?

I just noticed that kit is only the..
Crankshaft Pulley, Water Pump Pulley, Alternator Pulley

No power steering pulley, air conditioning pulley
Is that worth $150 or can you find sets with all of them?

A set only usually has the three.

There is not such thing as power power steering and air conditionaer pulleys.

Re: Performance Power Pulleys?

im not one to tell you not to do every thing you can to get every last pony out of your truck, but underdrives are something i do not reccomend doing... GM payed engeneers THOUSANDS of dollers to figgure this out, and then someone makes it smaller, making the part not work as effeciently at idel as what it should, you will run hotter, and imo they are not worth the money, time, and effort to change them

Re: Performance Power Pulleys?

yeah, sorry to be a downer, but, for some power (assuming a 4.3l) get yourselfe a high flow exhaust system and cold air intake, that will open it up to breath better, that gives a noticeable amount of power to the foot, and will help a bit with gas mileage

Actually, you are not going to overheat with them on.

Re: Performance Power Pulleys?

when your water pump isnt moving as fast as it should be, he wont overheat to where he is going to lose a headgasket (unless its a 2.2l then its going to go anywayse lol) but he will run hotter, and if its a hot summer day, with the A/C on, he will run much hotter, about midway between 210 and red
