Thunderbolt, Jackie Chan movie with 3000GT
I had heard alot about this movie but had never seen it. Its hard to find here in the U.S.
anyway the movie was shot in 95, in it he plays a mechanic who helps the cops tow illegal street-racers in Hong-Kong. one night a badass GT-R 33 shows up and raises hell. Jackie takes after him in an FTO and manages to outsmart the guy into a police trap. the racer turns out to be killer with a passion for fast cars. the guy breaks out of prisson and kidnaps jackie's sisters. the ranson "race me in Japan and I'll give you your sisters back"! so far it souns corny right? well I'm a huge fan of Jackie and I happen to know he 1. has his movies sponsored by Mitsubishi, 2. shows off Mitsu car in all his films. 3. he is a automotive fanantic who actually races in his spare time and has even competed in some australlian and african rallies for team Ralliart. 4. Jackie loves Mitsu and Mitsu loves Jackie. at first he gets a Lan-Evo III with a Ralliart tunned 4G63, he manages to wreck it just before the big race durring some quallifing laps. at the last minute his girlfriend (some rich as hell hot chick) shows up with an entire support team of Ralliart techs, a Mitsubishi race truck and two race prepped JGTC style GTOs /3000GTs. the car looks awsome dawned in the White and Red Mitsu race colors. its a first gen but with the second gen headlights. it did have a goofy wing but hey, its a race-car, its gotta have big wings! the movie might look dorky and the race scenes look like they are all in fast-foward but hey, you get to see a 3000GT tear the ass out of a Skyline GT-R 32 during a japanese GT race! if any of you guys get a chance to rent it or download it its worth a while to sit and watch something we rarely see, a GTO race in Japan!

The movie was on TNT Saturday morning. The main car is a second gen but one of the "stunt" cars is a first gen but the headlight lids are painted to look like second gen headlights. I mean who seriously thought no one would notice the car keep chaniging.
 The Puma GTO in it kicks ass too.

Yeah, I caught it on TNT, which is ironic cause I've been after a copy of it for almost a year now! I even ordered it from some Hong-Kong movie place on line and got the wrong copy.
Its a cool movie, a bit goofy but meh, I liked the GTO!
