Gas fumes 2000 3.2

Well for the past 6 months or so, when I come to a stop I can smell gas (weather the truck is warm or cold).

It is more pronounce when I have the fan running.

I have done a sniff test under the hood with the engine on and off and I can’t smell it.

The intake manifold gasket was replaced about a year ago …

I’m thinking maybe it is the evap canister.

The truck runs great, no CEL.

any idea's?

Ryan, next time you catch a whiff, try to get off the road, pop the hood & check closely around the fuel rail area. Maybe something got jostled when you had the IMG replaced. I'm thinking it's something on the pressure side (downstream of fuel pump) if it's not setting off an evap system code. Could possibly be a leak around the fuel filter as well.
G/luck

I dunno, If that FPR developed an external leak, you'd pump so much gasoline onto the engine it would probably burst into flames . The internal leak that link describes would cause some serious performance issues. Is the EVAP system / charcoal box behind the rear axle on the RS? It's tucked above the spare tire on my rodeo. The !@#$ modern EVAP systems usually throw a code right away if there is a system leak.
