Enzo of a different color

Well, I usually don't like to get in-progress threads going, as it takes me so freaking long to finish a model. But, this Enzo is so close, I thought I'd go ahead and post. The paint is a mix of sea green and dark blue nail polish that I liked. Not doing any super detailing on it, and forgoing the carbon fiber decaling, as that's NOT my idea of fun.

THX for the compliments All

blubaja, I was going for an aqua color, although when you custom mix colors never know exactly what you're gonna get. I'm pleased with this one in that it's strong on the green side, but the blue still shows up in just the right lighting, usually when you think you know what color it is. Nail polish colors offer a broad range, just need to test them before spraying your pride and joy (read: this is the SECOND Enzo body I did this color...).

Niceeee colour.. Looks superb. I too take a while to build models, so don't worry about that. The longer they take, the more value you get from them I think..

Just means the pile of unbuilt kits gets bigger and bigger..

"What's with te pink seats? "

LOL this is not the first time I've been asked that. The seats and dash are painted Model Master Italian Sand. the lighting of the picture makes them look pinkish, when actually they're not. Looks like this is a problem I'm going to be dealing with a lot, as the way the color actually looks, more like a peanut butter shade, looks really good, so I'm not going to repaint.

She's Finished!

Last night I put the final touches on my Revell Enzo, but because my wife is borrowing my good digital cam, these are the best pics I have at the moment. I'll update next week. I drilled the dash vents out and replaced with paper cut into "X"'s just to see how it would look. The last two pics on this post give a good idea of the color change of the nail polish I used. different light gives a green or blue look, just what I wanted.

I also drilled out the side markers, then using my moto tool and an X-acto knife as a "poor man's lathe" redid them in clear. Not a bad result.

More Pics, as promised

I've taken some more pics, and now post them. Only thing I have left to do is make a license plate "RED SUX", but I'll get to it soon.
