Koni yellows and Eibach Pro Kit? 4WS?

Okay, Iīve got two questions and hope that anybody can help me out:
1.) Tirerack recommends on its homepage not to put Koni yellows and the Eibach Pro Kit together on the 5th gen Prelude! Personally Iīm using exactly this setup on my 5th gen and I know that a lot of other 5th gen owners have got the same setup on their rides (HondaPrelude.com). So my question is whynot???

2.) Was the 4WS available with the 5th gen Prelude in the states? When Iīm right there are only base and ATTS models in the states. If it wasnīt available then does anybody know why? Because ATTS was available or because it was not thaaat good or what is the reason? iīm asking because I neither have got 4WS nor ATTS and most Prelude driverīs on german boards are always like "....4WS is so sweet...", "...I donīt want to miss it anymore..." and "..every Prelude needs it...". So what do you think about it?

Thanx in advance!

i m not sure on your susp from tirerack...

the 4ws in the states was for sure on the 88-91 (3gen)... hondaprelude.com does not show the 4ws on the 92-96 (4gen) or 97-01(5gen) as an option. to me, that means, and to my full recollection, that it was only on 3gens. over here, we stereotypically do not care as much about turning vs going straight. the 4ws was a heavy setup and expensive to fix. it was dropped as an option, b/c it slowed 1/4 times as well as emptied a bank account if broken.

the weird thing is that everyone that has driven one loves it, and i have a friend with an nsx that says that a 4ws prelude was actually a better handling car... i'm not sure on the truth, but he really liked it.

in response... over here they gave us atts, instead of 4ws. i don't know why exactly, but my money is on it being a cheaper more reliable system with less wt.

Koni's and Ground Controls will work fine with your 5th gen.

4 Wheel Steering came on the SI from 88-91

And as a special order on the SI's from 92-94.

I had a 91 with 4WS and it was just as everyone else says AWESOME.
After buying the 95 that I have now it took me about 2 months to be able to park straight. I was used to being sideways halfway into a space then cutting it all the way and getting it lined up. I tried to find a 4th gen with it when I bought a new car but was unable to. The reason they quit is because not enough people were special ordering it and it cost a lot for them to make. If more people knew how good it is I bet more people would have gotten it though. Hope this helps.
