problem with nissan enthusiasts no offense at all

Ok so I at one time was a hhuggee Nissan supporter. When someone asks what kind of car I should get I said Nissan when I'm at car shows I say get a Nissan I even had a sentra.net vinyl on my front windshield to support my community. So ok I go to carshows all the time and feature my car in it and people always wonder what kind of car it is. Overall I give Nissan alot of publicity and try to help whenever I can. So last night I'm at a car show and someone who drives a 240 sx calls me a ricer and so on so I don't care after all I'm IN the carshow and he's just watching. So I go to Nissanforums.com and read all this shit that they put on me after all the support and all the ways I've helped them. I took off my sentra.net logo and I'm going to shave off all of my logos on the car this week. What I'm trying to say is if you see a sentra at a car show your at and see fliers and stuff denouncing Nissan than don't get mad it's not at YOU guys. The whole reason it pissed me off is because Nissan owns Nissan performance MAg and looks over it which in turn runs nissanforums.com I'm never referring anyone to nissan's ever again I'm going to refer them to Hondas and Acuras because most/all Nissan owners I've met besides all of you are washed up has been dickheads Especially those who drive 240 SX. I just didn't want to get any shit from any nissan guys when you see a sentra at a show and I won't put what kind of car it is anywhere or won't tell you...... You guys are cool but those guys are a buncha has beens

hey my name is chip, and I've been on nissan forums and support nissanperformancemag sense 2003 and thay have good pepole there too.

because thay are mad that your in shows and their not. you have trash talkers in every venue. Be it honda,nissan,ford,etc. for what ever reason
thay just are narrow minded. I'm thinking if you addressed the right
people you can have the last laugh. but most of all it's not nissan's fault for the big headed assholes that give the brand a bad rap.
my is that brand loylty is fine but don't get full of yourself. that breeds hate.....
hope this helps clear some issues. For the good people at nissanfourms/mag. I hope the words of a few bad apples will not drive off any more of there fan base because of this. If thay wont say sorry I will for them.

i own a 240 now and i used to own a sentra
most 240 owners are not like that, but owners of every kind of car have some bad people among them
too bad some bad people ruin everyone else

just remember, he expressed an opinion. if you dont think you are a ricer, then why do you even care what he said? i dont like those show cars either but i dont say anything because the owners put their hard earned money and effort into them and i have no right telling them whats right and wrong. i just wish everyone realized they werent the best thing ever to happen to a (in this case) nissan.

hate to be the buzz killer here but i dont think anyone on this forum can stand the ricer/show car type of people, not to say you dont really know what youre talking about or anything like that, but i swore up and down i would not enter my car into a show before the engine bay would impress people more than the exterior. now say i turbo my spec, throw an all forged bottom end in it, run the boost up to about 15 psi and all the rest of that stuff to handle the power, then throw on a body kit and some racing rims that also look good, then i have a blue rbbon car and not one person can say shit to me, cuz ill probably dust them on the way out, as long as you can back your looks up with some balls then there is no reason to even pay attention to what those guys told you, mod your car how you see fit, screw the rest of the world, but if you want respect, go for power first, its all that matters

Not even minor cosmetics? I plan on getting a header and a cold air. Small mods like that... But I also plan to tint my windows and get a cool sun strip. I've already painted my calipers and put drilled and slotted rotors on my car. I only plan to do minor classy things, not fast an furious crap. I don't think a few cosmetics are bad. In my opinion the more engine mods you get... the more you can make your car flashy and stand out just as long as it's not too loud. I'm not much for all show no go.

the cosmetics you listed were perfect, you just dont want everyone to stare at your car and wonder what it is then you have to tell them youre pushing 20 horsepower on a cold night using racing gas.....the things i refer to as ricey are bodykits and rims and SPOILERS! there is no reason for any front wheel drive car to have an aftermarket spoiler, but as long as you have plenty of ponies, throw all the crap you want on there, if you make it look stupid enough you might turn it into a sleeper

I ain't no dick. I am a proud owner of a Nissan and I'll say it to anyone's face. But the fact about going around and spitting in someone's face and calling them a ricer and ur @ a car show, isn't that the point of the show, TO LOOK @ AND NOT RACE??? i have respect for the people that will admit that they have a engine pumping out 130-140hp and they did all the work by themselfs with their hard earned money. Some people decide to hate on others because they have the money to do what they wish they could. Stay true to the Nissan or w/e you decide to represent, but dont go around trashing a company and its supporters.

i have to agree here. some minor cosmetics are fine to tidy up the car and to show you are about detail, but don't want to be pulled over for having flashy things. thats pretty much what i plan to do for cosmetics my self, but a shaved antenna, the rest isn't needed. get some power mods, maybe a straight pipe exhaust till emissions

i really like this. Some people i kno have done this to their honda. (not shitting or n e thing) but they have maybe an intake and muffler with it lowered and a huge bodykit and a wing that is like 4-5 feet long and way above the car. please, if you dont plan on going faster than 130mph-208kmh or so and i know that most of us won't even try to go that fast on city streets, or even hit 120 in the 1320. please be moderate.

lol, your crazy, the fastest ive gone was about 140 and that was in a blown stang made for the track on the freeway. i dont know how good the speedometors are past 100 in a nissan. i havent even reaches 100mph in my sentra, nor have i tried. im not taking the chance to try because of the cops round my area....maybe if i do a road trip o somethin....... most of us wont try and see how fast are car can go past the governor when off because it takes too long..... plus its too dangerous for me, the roads up here are bad and get damaged a lot from salt being dropped on it every year with the snow. how did it feel to control the car @ that speed?

well actually i don't like spoilers either but in defense of spoilers they do serve a purpose if you get canards with them than they serve a purpose. But yeah I mean I wouldn't take my car to shows if it didn't have any performance mods lol I just don't see why you can't do both. Especially because companies love Nissans because they're reliable cars and you don't see a million of them at car shows

yeah from what I know an sr20 det will fit any and every sentra. I havn't seen it in the 95 and up sentra's but I have seen it in the older ones but I don't see why it wouldn't fit in the newer models.
