7" monitor
hello everyone,
i have jsut brought a lcd 7" montior for my car and im having troulbe wiring it up, it has four wires yellow and a black which go to the battery red wire which goes to the igniton (acc) and a blue wire which says it goes to the back up light, i have a 89 ford escort and i do not have a clue what they are on about , about this back up light !! i dont no were to connet the blue wire to, i do not no what the back up light is !!! I think they are meaning backlighting ...... it will dim it when your lights are on. Find a wire that is powered only when the lights are on, there is usually one going to the clock.

you can ground it anywhere on the chassis, i usually use bolts that gointo the fire wall when im working near it.

The blue wire you are talking about is if you are using a camera for when you back up. You don't need to use it you can just cap it off with a wire nut. The wire gets power when you go into reverse b/c the reverse lights come on. Then the TV will automatically switch over to the camera. That is why you have 2 sets up inputs on your TV. V1 and V2. 1 of them is for your source (DVD, Playstation, etc) and the other one is meant to be plugged into a camera.
