BPU VR4 Pushing 475 AWD Horsepower

I saw a 92.5 VR4 with the 4-bolt main 5 speed with 25 pline output VR4 with these mods; atr downpipe with full exhuast, boost controller, safc, and a few guages (no big deal), and BOV. and had 110k miles on stock engine with the stock tiwns on pushing 475 AWD HP on a dyno.
now i never dynoed my car when i was just basic BPU nor did i when it was BPU++ but right now built and bigger turbos i was pushing around 750. so i think people are really under estimating the vr4s

i need some proof to beleive that those minor upgrades take you to 475hp, cause i would be near that right now and i'm basicaly running neck and neck with my dads vette on a highway run, and his car is 345hp 350lbs tq

edit: actually what am i talking about........ theres no way in hell those minor upgrades put him at 475 to the wheels, let alone the crank

ive seen the car too... and he does have the stock twins and stock intercoolers and what not...

Well I've heard ray pampanera (sp?) has pulled out another 50hp (whp?) with just his tuning abilities, multiple times on near stock/bpu vr4s. He does have the safc, so it is possible he has a great tune. But with no intake and still having the precats...I would tend to think this is a bit much. I mean, that is 200hp more at the crank, then pretty much every other bpu vr4 gets with similar mods. I could believe this was done with stock turbos/intercoolers...but overall I think the mod list is incomplete, or this is bs.

With the stock turbos and injectors their is no way he's making 475 crank.

My bet is the person that setup the dyno entered the correction and DT loss figures wrong.

Yeah i figured he was lieing... but i didnt question him cause i hate geting into arguments. plus i knew my car was way faster, so i had no reason to. haha

Maybe stock housing turbos, but deffinatly not stock turbos.

look at my signature buddy thats my mod list... i have over $20,000 into my car dont say ha to me...
you can say ha to the guy who claims to have 475hp just bpu. but im far beyond bpu.

I think you maybe over estimating as well. With 550cc injectors, I don't think you could push even 750 crank. It is an impressive mod list, but I feel your injectors are limiting you. Just my .02

well i didnt go all hardcore and put two 70 trims on there... just two 20g so i didnt really think i would need really big injectors... if my injectors where not big enough... i would run too lean and detinate... i have been looking into investing 650cc but thats the biggest i think i could go with out running too rich frying my piston rings and destroying my rod bearings from the metal...

my brother has his eclipse running around 600 to the crank and he has rods, pistons, cams, camegears, fuel system, a 70 trim turbo, clutch, fly wheel, ect ect... you know the works and he has a little over $20,000 as well into his car.
but i belive he has 650cc so mabey i will go invest in some and see if i get any hp gains...

Anything over 550cc and you have to start dealing with timing control. Just fyi.
