Angry Code red!

I've been having problems with my 92 for a while now.. After running the codes some time ago, I got a 41. Since then, I've replaced the cam sensor, magnet, crank sensor, and most recently the harmonic balancer. Now not only do i still get 41, but 12 and 18 as well. I'm at my wits end because I love this car, but with fall semester starting very soon I cant have the car dying on me all the time like it does. It seems if I keep it around 180* it runs fine :/ But i'm stumped, please help me. -Eric

Re: Code red!

I don't see a code 18 for the 92 Buick. Are you sure it is not code 17? Code 12 is only the acknowledgement that you are in the diagnostic mode, not a problem code. Did you set the crank sensor gap at .020 with a feeler gauge? If you have a crank reference circuit code 17 you still have a bad or incorrectly installed crank sensor, Codes for the 92 Buick are listed below. Recheck and advise.

Code 41 - 4 flashes, pause, 1 flash = Cam Sensor
Check for faulty connections, or a faulty cam sensor. Maybe also indicate a problem with the vehicle's timing chain.
