94' grand am window's

my right window wont wind up or down and its stuck half way open when it rains i have to put something over it is there any thing i can do to fix it? its power windows and its only the right window in the passengers seat

That is exactly what happened to me today. I didn't find any assistance on AutoZone.com either. I have a manual at home that I will have to referr to. If it is the gear window lift motor that went out then it is about a $40 to replace just the part. I don't know how you feel about your car but I am ready to drive it off a cliff!

If the other windows work ok its probably the switch, its in a poor location on these cars as it catches everything. To replace the switch open the armrest, pull up on the plastic that goes towards the front of the car, just be careful not to break it by the ash tray. There are tabs on the sides of the switch, press these in and it pops up and out of the panel. Unplug it, plug in the new switch and try it before you put it all back together. Good luck.
