How would I attach a bodykit to a car. I was thinking of priming the body and then putty the bodykit on the car. Then sand and smooth everything out.
Would that be the way to do it? ... I have a Widebody Nissan Cima Type II VIPCAR.

Search feature broken again
![]() ![]() Try super glue. Attach it before priming. Putty and sand. Prime. Putty and sand more as required. Read the FAQ. Read the How To's. Use the search feature. Have a nice day

So, in reality, using the search feature takes even less effort than that which it takes to tell somebody to use the search feature. Oh, and I did answer the question, too.

Re: BodyKit attachments?
i generally try to search, but occasionally forget to. i don't mind answering questions if i can, but sometimes it really does get annoying. i enjoy helping people when i can. anyways, i would guess that you glue it on first, then just follow what freakray said.

Re: BodyKit attachments?
All is true with what everyone says about search bar but idk I always find it eaiser to just ask a question and get straight replys rather then looking through threads for what it is i want and it might not even being there...idk thats just mean i didnt mean to sound rude or anything, no hard feeling were ment I just find it easier to just post...sorry again...
Also I'm a newbie and I know I have no room to talk...since I for one really dont know what I talking about...

Re: BodyKit attachments?
i agree with Dr.Gigglez. i like getting the straight answers, but then again i also like looking through old threads. especially when they end up being threads that i started and i get to look back at when i first joined this forum.

Re: BodyKit attachments?
without the search feature, we would have 400 threads a day asking "what's the best paint", 340 threads asking "what's the best airbrush" and so on and so forth.
Newbies are not 'innovators', the questions you are asking are the same ones we all had when we were newbies or otherwise. Hence, your "original" questions that need original answeres are not in fact original but just re-hashes of questions that have already been asked.

Like Eddie said, if there wasnt a search feature there would be 700 threads about carbon fiber, 400 threads about paint, 350 questions about airbrushes everyweek. Anyway, as far as the actual topic goes. Cut off the stock parts usually, then glue the transkit on. After that you may need to use a polyester putty for some touch up stuff. Then coat it with a sealer.

Unknown to most is that it's best to prime FIRST. Primer sticks to plastic better than putty. Putty sticks better to primer than plastic.
Prime first, attach parts, yadda yadda. It works
