yes i am bangin my head over thins. i have a 94 golf and the light that gives me the glow in my hvac switches is not working. i checked the bulb not blown i made sure the fuse was not out and the plug is connected firmly. if anyone can help with this it would be fantastic. when i bought the car a week ago i worked fine but now nothing.. thanks eric

Under the hood there is a combination relay box/control unit & fuse holder near the coolant reservoir tank. Unplug the connector from the underside & examine for signs of bluish corrosion seeping out of the unit. If so find a used unit.

Is this a typical thing to go or could i be wrong about the bulb being not blown. it does not look black or anything. i have installed a stereo in the car and before that it worked fine. when i put the stereo in it worked on and off then all together it does not work now.
