Question Turn Signal Problem - HELP!

Hi,
I have a Mk2 8v Golf Gti which has suddenly developed a problem with the turn signal indicators. The green LED on the dash glows very lowly when the ignition is on. When you turn the stalk the turn signals don't blinck (or even come on), but the LED lights up and is a constant light not blinking.
I have taken the entire dash out, checked all the connections on the dash and the steering column. Checked the fuses etc but no luck in finding the fault. The hazard lights work perfectly when they are used and the LED flaches as normal.
Any ideas as I am lost on this one?!

Hi boschmann,
Yep, tried a new relay - still the same problem. Hazards work fine but turn signals don't.
I am going to get a set og second-hand clocks to see if that is the problem - if it isn't then it has to be the wiring... ..right????????

Re: Turn Signal Problem - HELP!

If all bulbs flash when you hit the hazards then I would say it's a problem in the turn signal switch unit.
