cornering lamps question

I was just wondering if they come on only if the headlights are on. Because it doesn't make sense for them to come on during the daytime.

DRL's don't run the Cornering lights at all, or the tail lamps. Just a Lower voltage to the high beams.

Once the low beams come on in the dark, then all the lights come on.

I mean cornering lights as in the lights on the rear bumper that look exactly like fog lights and they only go on when the car is put into reverse. Here's a picture of what I'm talking about http://www.gaownersclub.com/forum/av...ine=1124403528

Re: cornering lamps question

Those come on whenever the car is in reverse regardless of whether the headlights are on.
