not really .... it's essentially a variant of the bazooka mentality. I think they are tellin ya to look at more standard 12's

Re: Bazooka Tubes any good?

a standard twelve is gonna give you the most satifactory sound, and still wont be that expensive if you stay away from competion level stuff.

Re: Bazooka Tubes any good?

Heh, I went through that same sh!t that 95DXCivic went through with my 93 civic. I started with 2 tubes. Then upgraded to 2 10s. Then upgraded again with 2 12s. Thats why with my new car, Im just going straight to a 15" L7 SB

Re: Bazooka Tubes any good?

id recommend a couple infinity perfect 10s or 12s in a sealed box with a seperate amp. they do not require a lot of power and take up very little space. theyll perform just fine in say .9 to 1.3 cubic feet per speaker. youll only need like 200 to 350w per speaker

Re: Bazooka Tubes any good?

187's wont sound SO clean...but the SE will. the 187 will probably give best bang for buck loudness. and since you listen to rap audible difference is slim (all electronicaly produced 808 bass :boom: notes for the most part)
a single RE 12 in a nice ported enclsore..want more? get 2...
or a pair of RL-i 8's ported should give some niceness...i havent head an RL-i just an RL-p 12 but if the RL-i's are anything similar they are quite clean and thoes are probably the best 8's on the market that dont brake the bank (nothing really compares to a w7 8 at the moment of the top of my head).
