Mobile 5000 with oil change and I use cheap ass unleaded. (At 2.61$ per gallon, driving minimum of 100 miles a day, I can not afford much else right now.)

Personally IMO getting the 91 octane would be flushing money down the toilet, but let me explain why. The octane ratings are a direct relation to how much pressure the fuel can be put under before spontaneously combusting. Every engine has a compression ratio which describes how much pressure the piston puts on the air and fuel. The V6 Tibs have a compression ratio of 10.0 , so the Regular Unleaded fuel can be used without any repercusions. The only cars that really NEED the 91 octane (to avoid engine Knock) are your higher end sports cars.

More detailed information can be found here:

For my Tiburon I use k & N oil filter. It's made for racing or so they say but it does make a difference. For the oil, I use Castrol GTX 10w-30.

91 octane will only increase the point of detonation. For super or torbo charging is is a must but for normaly aspirated applications it is a waste of bux. $70 for an oil change is insane, IMO.

Since we're talkin' reccommended, I'll tell ya. I use Shell V-Power Religiously. You talk to any biker or sports car driver, thats all they use -- aside from like... Racing Fuel. Im not talkin lil souped Hondas or nothin, im talkin guys with Cobra Mark 3's, Ferrari Testarossa's, Lamborghini Gallardo's, Lotus Elise's... etc.

My idea: If a Testarossa uses it, so can my Tib!

For oil & filters, i use a K&N Air & Oil filter, and Quakerstate Q 5w-30 Synthetic oil (5W-30 Reccommended by book -- anyone think ya should use 10W?)

I've packed on 12,000 miles in about 6 months on my gorgeous '05 tibby, and she runs like a champ. Hell -- Just last week, i smoked a '03 Mustang GT!

Cool Oil and Gas Used

I use synthetic oil and 91 octane gas unless I'm going to run my NOS wet kit. Then I boost the octane to 100+. Runs much smoother. I have a 2005 GT V6. Use a K&N cold air and a ZEX wet kit with 55-75 shot nozzels. LOVE IT !!!!!!! Of course, I have a Escort 8500 X50 detector also. LOL
