do you think this makes me a sell out

Alright let me explain I have a 1999 nissan sentra and I've done most of the body work on it already that i want well not most but maybe 60% right.... body kit, z3 fenders, m3 carbon fiber mirrors and euro tailights and everything ok. Here's what I'm getting at I have 2,000 dollars saved up that I was going to use on some mods right ALL engine mods. I ran into a problem I have several buisnesses that are interested in sponsoring me and I want more. The problem is to get sponsored I would have to spend the rest of my money on cosmetic mods. I.E. a predator hood, projector headlights, rims and so on. But the sponsors I have lined up that already had interest are all performance sponsors so my car would be fast but it would be about 4 months. SO what I'm trying to get to is do you guys think it would make me a sell out if I spent all my money on visual mods so I could get more sponsorships with performance mods after all it would be fast in time. by the way the sponsors im talking about are a nitrous company and a company that makes headers turbos and other things for my car. I've got like 5 companies interested in sponsoring my vehicle when it's done ssssoo what do you guys think??

do what YOU want but because you posted this *ive asked it be moved to proper area also* i'll say I cant drive a slow car or truck i'd make it faster then stock
and if one of the companies thats looking into sponsering you makes motor parts talk to them maybe you can get both at same time

No see I want a fast car not neccasarily for the track because honestly I don't enjoy the track nearly as much as the street.... I want both I want my car to be a head turner and be fast so this seems the best way to do it and no their not really that interested they told me what they want and I do want my car to be a show car but I want it be just as much go. I have nitrous already so it's not JUST a show car, but if I get the full support of all these sponsors I can make my car fast as shit. The sponsors will help me with my suspension too I mean its not just for speed I want my car to be a force to be reconed with all around... speed, looks, and handling

If some of the sponsers make engine mods try to talk them into letting you get your hands on some free stuff. Then maybe a dyno run to show how much their product ups the stock horsepower? It's a suggestion.

Anyway, do what you wanna do.

I know I could do an engine swap but I'm not a huge fan of engine swaps. I want to show everyone that swapped their ga16's for sr20 engines that they didn't have too. The guy on nissanperformancemag i think hes asian I dunno his name lol. He got 275 WHP out of his GA16 engine and that was without nitrous. I want to surpass that and show what this little engine can do if you saw the performance numbers its capable of its pretty impressive. It's perfect for nitrous and can handle a 75 shot safely and even a turbo. Yeah I've spoken to them and they want to send me the stuff and go to shows with them. The way my car looks right now I wouldn't want to be in a carshow I need more it doesn't stand out enough on stock rims and stock suspension you know. ut if I get big rims and the shiny paintjob and some other things I can. I have a suspension company interested, hotshot is interested and mmm a couple other companies they make racing seats and a few audio companies that want to send me subs and speakers. I dont know I want to know honestly what you guys think because I don't know myself if you think I'm a sell out tell me I wanna know lol

well here's the deal, if they sponsor you, they draw the lines at what you do / can't do and they've got it on contract, so make sure you are happy w/ the contract before you decide to do anything at all. plus...if they won't let you street race/ if u screw it up you might hafta pay for it if your insurace doesn't cuz it might still be theirs

plus its only 2k $ for a boostdesigns.com turbo kit i think

do you really think it would make me a ricer even though I would have the performance to back it up. I'm talking about with everything that we're talking about look heres the list
JWT ecu, cam shafts and cam gears, headers, CAI, coilovers, performance shocks, with my nitrous and quite possibly a turbo they said they're interested but they want to see how dedicated I am to going to shows

oh yeah I mean I'll probably have to give up street racing for the track I know that and the contract is pretty fair I read it it just basically says I have to go to whatever shows they say whenever but that they'll give me notice in advance and of course pics every month and articles and proof that I'm doing publicity

headers on a I4 thats ill as hell bet its a big custom job eh?

oh no haha i mean I already have headers but the problem is he company that akes the turbo for my car also makes headers and a CAI and their going to sponsor me with those first as kind of a test to see if they can trust me enough with a 2,000 dollar turbo set up I feel em you know

yeah see I can get a turbo for cheaper but all these sponsors are top of the line sponsors that make the best performance parts for my car I wouldn't get sponsored by some cheap ass company I might as well buy it myself all the performance parts are dyno proven at sentra.net when he does them all on his car
