Head Question

Hi all, I have a 1995 Chevy Corsica with a 4 cylinder 2.2 liter engine. I had the head gasket recently blow on me and I am wondering about the following. After I got it cleaned off, I noticed small hairline cracks in between the intake and spark plug. I was wondering that, if kept cool unlike I did before, if the cracks would be any big deal. they go into the head about a centimeter or so in length. Thanks for any help.

I would take it to a good machine shop and get tested / opinions. Cracked heads on Corsicas are common and I think that is your only option. Also, be sure to use NEW head bolts when you put this back together again. Broken head bolts are another problem on 4 cyl. engines along with head gaskets.
