How do you open hood when cable broke
Greetings everyone. I have a 95 transport with a broken front hood cable. Has anyone out there opened one up without the cable? Thanks!

Re: How do you open hood when cable broke
Did you ever solve this issue? If so, I'm interested in how you did it. I currently have a '93 with a disconnected hood cable right at the latch. I can feel the end of the cable with my finger but I don't have the leverage or room to open it with my fingers. Any advice? What can I take apart which will improve the access?

Re: How do you open hood when cable broke
Well, I did finally get it open last night using a straightened coat hangar. I didn't have to take anything apart but it certainly is a tricky job that can take some time. Hopefully I'll never be in that position again as I re-attached the cable and also rigged up a hidden back-up wire.
