The cheapest way to do it is to buy a 220 turbo as the cost to convert a nasp to a turbo is about £2500, where you can buy a 'proper' turbo coupe for less than this.
It's not just the engine, you need the wiring loom, turbo radiator, turbo radiator fans, intercooler, throttle body, pipework, exhaust which is a bigger bore on the turbo model, ideally you want the turbo gearbox which has the torsen diff in it and is geared up differently. There is more too, but as you can see, it's not just a question of converting the block. The nasp engine can be turned into a turbo engine, but there is all the other bits as well.
The nasp engine isn't slow by any means, but I know what you mean by power drop. When I had a nasp coupe I used to play with scoobies, then I got a turbo and just called them breakfast.
