Re: Where's the drain on the radiator of 97 Jimmy 4x4?

Thanks. I will now go out and drain the water out of my Jimmy. Bought it used and just noticed there is no coolant. Just water. I added a flush cleaning product and will now attempt to drain and replenish with coolant/water..

Thanks.

Pull the heater core hoses and flush the heater core real well, more than likely you will have rust build up in there if all that was in there was water. Then use a 50/50 premix (unless you have RO water) to dump back in. That way you won't get contaminates from normal tap water.

I still can't find the pit cock. I took off the skid plat and I don't see one on the bottom of the radiator anywhere.

It should have a hose attached to it. It is in the corner of the rad.

More than likely the passenger side, but depending, it could be on the drivers side...
