That car has been on ebay for the longest time. I'm pretty sure I saw it back when I was looking for a gsx, and that was a few months ago.

Re: '99 GSX on Ebay

well if you think about it thats not to bad for all of the stuff he's done. that doesn't even inculde labor for the after market stuff. really all he is asking for are the parts that hes put on it. I would consider buying it but i already have one

Re: '99 GSX on Ebay

That is way too much money for what that car is worth, IMO. (buy-it-now price). The golden rule with cars here is that unless its a restored classic or an exotic, or crazy custom, you almost never get your money back as far as mods go. The KBB will still list the value less the mods costs. I think it would be cheaper to find a 95 GSX with a straight body, do a 6-bolt swap with a TRE tranny and gearbox, a bigger turbo with all supporting mods, and still have enough money left over for a lot of other goodies. I would never pay $18000 for a 2G DSM out the door, period.

Nice find nonetheless, plus considering all the work has been done by RRE, its a comfortable thought within itself. But, taking that into account, I don't know why the guy spent all that money on everything inside the engine bay, even swapping a 1G TB and a 1G head, but left out a 6-bolt block
