i read that a 92 sc2 has a curb weight of 2284 lbs. but i thought that i read somewhere that they were like 2500 lbs.

depending on what year, model, driveline, and options, the S-Series can weight between about 2275 and 2500.to find out, check the owners manual for the load capacity, subtract that number from the GVWR number on the sticker inside the driver's door, that is approxmently your curb weight.
