2001 mitsubishi mirage timing belt

I have a 2001 mirage 1.5 L just turned 100k I will be installing timing belt soon but need any tips short cuts anyone knows. to do's/dont do stuff. I've done this many times but this is first time on a car with lots of electronic stuff. any help appreciated. thanx gh

do it right..LOL.. nah just make sure timing marks on cam gear and crank pulley are right. youll be fine. ohh and the unplug ignition and battery

Wish I could help, but I'm stuck on this one. I have the 1.8 tho. My gf's uncle thinks the timing belt has jumped a tooth or so, but the chilton 1990-2000 galant/mirage/diamante is no help in determining what marks on the head to align the cam pulley with. Sure hope i can get to the bottom of this without dropping big bux on the 2001 Mirage factory manual.
