Hi,
Putting a 360 in a 1967 F-100 that had a 352 in it. I cant find the firing order. I am at a point I am ready to start it but I have it set as a 352 now and I cannot get it to start. I have fire in coil and at top of distributor now but no fire when it turns over.I am also getting plenty of gas to carb. All help would be greatly appreciated. Also if piston order is different than, left 1-2-3-4, right 5-6-7-8 PLEASE let me know. I have worked several weeks to get to this point. Would really love to hear it run!!!! |

Re: HELP! Need Firing order for a 360 cu. inch motor
The Firing Order is 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 with counter-clockwise rotation
The cylinder numbering is 1 2 3 4 --Passenger side bankFront of Engine 5 6 7 8 --Driver side bank |

Thanks for the response! That is what I had set up (just like the 352). I have fire at the coil and at the points if I turn it over without the distributor cap off. BUT that is as far as the fire goes.
Any suggestions on where to go next with this? I have also changed condensor and rotor button. Again, thanks for the help! |

Re: HELP! Need Firing order for a 360 cu. inch motor
You have the timing set right? It's possible that the distributor is 180 degrees off if you don't get it lined up on the compression stroke. If your sure your timing is set right and close try using ether to see if you have a fuel problem. If fuel isn't the problem adjust the distributor timing a few degrees advanced or retarded to get it to fire.
