electrical problem

I HAVE A 1990 DOOGE CARAVAN 3.0l that does not recharge the battery
while running. I had a reconditioned alternator (90A) with no results. Then i had a (120A) installed and still it drains the battery. Any input
would be appreciated.

Re: electrical problem

Put a test light between the negative battery cable and negative post, turn off anything electrical including all lights. If the test light goes on, you have a short somewhere. Pull fuses one at a time until you find the circuit with a short (test light goes off). If there is no short, you either have a bad alternator (unlikely), bad wiring, or a bad battery.
