Eighties Contest Entry : Renault 5 Turbo WRC '81

Although I stand no chance of winning anything in this comp I thought I'd join in to speed up my build process

This will be my first progress thread so bear with me - updates will tend to be slow

I've chose to build J Ragnotti's Monte Carlo Renault 5 which won the 1981 rally. Most probably I will be adding nothing to the box, although I will be including the driver & co-driver figurines.

At the moment I have only taken the pieces from the sprues ready for priming. So, for the time being this is the only pic I have to show - the contents.

This will be a wee ripper! So far you're the first curbside entry.

It looks promising, and i have the tamiya kit in the stockpile as wel, so i'm anxious to see how you do.
If you do get in the detailing mood check this out: http://www2.comco.ne.jp/~garage/index.html
You probably know this site already but I love the way he crafted the heller engine bay into the tamiya.

Cool car, there is never enough old rally car models around.

Heller vs Tamiya Renault 5 Turbo, which one is better?
