Dunno about the 91's but I know on my 97 the Turn, wiper, cruise, and emergency lights are all one unit. Have to take the steering wheel off and tear down the steering column to get it out.

old timer trucker,
welcome to AF.
sorry I didn't see this post sooner.
hey Sparsky,
on your '97, you can change that multi-function switch without yanking the steering wheel/airbag/horn stuff.

a small T-25 torx "bit" held by a set of vice grips will allow you to get in to that lower attachment bolt out between the switch and horn plate, pulling the switch and harness by itself.
(GM and Snap-On make a tool, but $70+ equals bit and vice-grip for me)

on the '91, not sure, think it can be pulled staight out, as it just has a lip that locks into the plug device that surrounds the column; but there again, have never had mine off, so may have to yank the wheel,
but '94 and newer you can "eek" by.

hope this helps,
chris
