well since im retarded

I can not find the neutral saftey switch on a 95 base model neon autimatic trans and im haveing this growing feeling its also the transmission range sensor but i dont know where that is either


because heres the problem my starter soliniod will not engage once in a blue moon ill here it i know the starter motor is good ive bench tested it so im think switch or solinoid..........

I am not an expret by any means on the automatic xmsns,but I think it is on the back side of the tranny where the bobble strut bracket mounts.

hmmm so the car sat untouched over night and i hoped in it this morning i heard the soliniod engage the first time but it didnt spin the second time the soliniod engaged and the motor spun and the car started so i dont know this is weird.

Have you checked the relay? If not, try the horn/relay swap test.

That's them. Swap the starter relay into the horn location and see if the horn honks. If it does then the relay is not the problem. You could also try to start with the hon relay and see what, if anything happens.
