Airbag system

I was just wondering if anyone knows much about the airbagging system in the 2003 tib. I rolled into a car the other day and it barely scratched the paint on my car but my passenger side airbag went off. There was no one in the seat and the driver's side didn't go off. Anyone know if this should happen on such low impact, with no one in the seat???

it all depends on where you were hit. the closer to the sensors, the more likely it is to go off.
