Metal transfers before or after clear coat?

I know you put the decals on before clear coating, but do you put the metal transfers on too?

It's your call, after all, it's your model.
If you put them on after the clear it will look more realistic.
I know some people who use a thin coat of clear to seal them on since they can get knocked off while dusting and such down the road.
They were intended to go on after clear coating... - Mark

Re: Metal transfers before or after clear coat?

Personally I'll be putting my metal pieces onto the body after the clearcoat. I also put my decals on after clear, they go on easier & then I don't need to worry bout the clear eating my decals.

Re: Metal transfers before or after clear coat?

Whenever possible i like to put them on after for the realism factor stated by S-Master above. If I can, like to drill a hole where the PE will go and CA from the other side (inside or bottom - where its not visible); I think that is common procedure but worth mentioning
