'94 4.6 A/C problems!!!

About a month ago the motor for the cooling fan went out in my '94 4.6. When the motor went bad it also blew the fuse for it in the relay box (or visa versa). When we hooked the new fan motor back up. the car cooled fine but a few seconds after starting the car a loud clicking sound started coming from behind the dash (clicking every sec. weither the a/c is on or not). traced the clicking sound to a black box behind the glovebox near the a/c blower. I disconnected the power hook up and blower control wires from the blower and the clicking was still there. The clicking only stopped when i disconnected the power harness from the back of the a/c control. Any ideas would be great, and what parts ill need to get and if its something i could fix myself.
