Angry active exhaust nightmares...

OK, did all the diagnostics from all the sites, found that the problem was a frozen valve. Motor works, cable moves freely, but the valve is still frozen. (closed position) I tried to turn the valve by prying on the wheel, which was a bad idea, becasue now the hole in the wheel is rounded out. Not a big deal, can fix it no problem, but the valve is still stuck. Removed the wheel from the shaft and tried to tighten the nut that holds the wheel on back onto the shaft and use a wrench to tork the valve loose. Didnt work becasue the nut never got tight, it threaded down into the cup where the spring is so i couldnt get on it.

My next idea is to drop the exhaust down a little so i can get on the shaft with some vice-grips. Im sure this will completely F the threads, so im hoping you guys have some better ideas.

I would just abort the whole system and cut the valve out, so its in sport mode all the time, but i really HATE having buttons on my dash that dont do anything.

please guys, ya gotta help me. Im goin NUCKIN' FUTS lol

Re: active exhaust nightmares...

my valve cant be moved by the cable but i was able to move it with a half inch wrench. i compared the two modes and figured out the sport mode by the louder, more growling of the two. then, i just left it.

Re: active exhaust nightmares...

its stuck in tour (valve closed). Where were you able to get a 1/2 inch wrench on? the 13mm nut on top of the wheel?
