'99 I30 Won't start...no juice - HELP!

Well, my recently purchased 99 I30 Limited with 46k miles just crapped out on me tonight.

Here's the play-by-play:

1) Stopped to purchase gasoline - filled up the tank with 91 octane.

2) Started the car, started to pull away from the gas pump...heard a buzz long tone, then the car died.

3) Started the car back up, drove 20 feet, then the car died again. No sort of long tone this time...just died.

4) Turned the car over, no juice. Dead. Nada. Interior light wouldn't even come on.

5) Walked over to Costco, bought a new battery.

6) Installed the new battery. Seems like a lot of corrosion around the red terminal. Cleaned it off as best I could.

7) Reinstalled the + and - terminals.

8) Tried to start the car. Nothing. Again, no interior lights, no headlights, nothing. Not even a clicking sound when I try to start.

9) Fooled around with the wires a bit to check for a short or bad wire. Never could get power again.

So, I called the dealer...they agreed to pay for towing in to the dealership since I bought it last week.

I've never experienced a situation where NO lights or other accessories would come on after installing a fresh battery.

Is there a master fuse or something?

I'd rather troubleshoot this for the simple things before I have it towed in the morning. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

This is how its done in maxima: Batt-Fuses-Ign sw-Relay- Starter solenoid. Typical problem in nissans is the gnd wire which rots off, under batt tray.

U should get a service manual.

Infiniti got back to me on this. Turns out to be a bad positive battery cable.

$345 to fix.
