The light that illuminates the speedometer, odometer and tachometer (sp) does not work. Also, I do not have either tail light right now. Is it a fuse located on the passenger's side panel or one under the hood? Is it a short? Are they connected to each other or two seperate problems? Help me please.

Re: 1996 Monte Dash & Tail Lights
Turn signal switch might be worn (probley not) Start with checking the fuse panel under the hood on the driver side, might have corrosion shorting it out!! Does anything else not work?

Re: 1996 Monte Dash & Tail Lights
really sounds like you need to start at the dimmer/headlight switch.

The brake lights, reverse lights, cigarette lighter, dome light, chime, radio, glove compartment light, reading lights on rearview, and headlights work.
Sometimes, the left turn signal won't work but if you wiggle the turn signal thing on the steering column it will work again. How do you replace the dimmer switch and would that effect the taillights? |

Turn signal switch!
With what you said about the turn signal needing to be wiggled that is where I would try! |
