Code 301

I have a 96 sebring with the 2.4?L DOHC, it is sputtering when you give it gas when ideling. Anything in higher rpm 2000+ it accelerates fine. I pulled the codes and it give the cylinder 1 missfire code. I bought new plugs and wires and it still sputtered. Any ideas? I was told it could possibley be the valves are to tight. Any help is appreciated.

Re: Code 301

Check your EGR system, that could cause a problem and also check around your intake manifold for the #1 cylinder make sure it's ok.
