no 4th gen hb models

Thanks to ci5ic that reminded me that i had e-mailed speednation.com who sells lots of honda models if they had any 4th gen models or where i could get one. I told them that there were a lot of us looking for them but they told me that there was never one produced. But then I remembered that pic from the old board of that one and thought it has to be out there somewhere. Anyone here new or old to the board care to help out on this one? Also they have some cool t-shirts with 4th gens on them at speednation.com

Thanks
Chad

I've never see one actually.

I have built a 3G Civic JDM Si, two S800s (I can still find these - trying to find a real one ATM), City Turbos and 1G Civic plus a Mugen 1G Formular Civic, but not even a standard 4G.

I'd kill for even a die-cast one.

Thumbs up

I know Mike Ancus (owner of speednation) he autocrosses here locally. He's a really great guy, runs a good business, and has some hondas that would just blow your mind to see them run I'll be paying him a visit to his in house dyno & shop here shortly, time to see what my hampsters can do lol. But he just loves hondas (he also had a thing for rotaries too) so he is always looking for 4th gen models trust me.

Yeah that was my pic. There is actually a shop down here that had one, i don't remember if it was a civic sir or civic vti, but they had one for 40 and i hid it cuz this shop was really small and no one ever goes there and i was broke at the time, and I thought maybe i can just go to a real popular and bigger shop to get one for cheaper. Then i checked out like 5 shops and they all tell me they never made one. I was like wtf!!! I just saw one, so then i go back and it's gone. It was his last one and he said his distributor can get a couple more but it's gonna cost somewhere close to 100. So he tells me he's tryin to find a new place where he can get everything cheap. So i'll let all you guys know, if he gets one in. If he does i'll definitely pick it up this time.

yes 100 us dollars. That is way too much for a piece of plastic, even it its rare. So that's why i'm waitin until he finds another distributor that can get some of the rare ones at better prices.

This is a 3rd gen, you can see basic differences although this guy has bastardized his . The 4th gen is like Moppies and the pic of the model that was just posted.

EDIT: forgot the link.... 3g Civic

That doesn't look like a 3rd gen to me

Anyways, that car looks slick! I like the back-end brake-light/hatch mod!

Hey Chhoung when you go back to that hobby shop ask the owner of the shop who made the kit. And if some one could E-mail that pic of the model (I would but I am stuck with this web TV) to Jim at speednation.com that they do exist maybe he can track something down.

How sweet would it be to have
an exact scale replica of your car

Chad

I have actualy seen an EF model, but it was just an Si, and it was also $40. $40 that I sadly didnt have to spare at the time, otherwise I would have bought it.
