I just added another video featuring a LT1 running down a GT Mustang after the Stang pulled a perfect hole-shot.... Click on the "video" section of the site. I'm going to try to add a third video tonight or tomorrow night.

The '99 cheated and got a good jump and still got walked. I also wouldn't call that a "perfect hole-shot" because he did cheat and go before the count.

dang mustang cheater, that lt1 had 280 to the wheels, what do they usually have stock?

Last I heard 280 was their stock crank number. So with power loss through the tranny and everything, I'm guessing, 250. Anybody got any information on this?

His horsepower numbers were probably close to the Camaro's. Maybe there were a little lower, who knows. The thing is his torque numbers were probably off the charts. Add that with 4.10 gears, killer.

oh yea forgot about the 4.10's. i dunno the 5.0 pulls him off the line but he just keeps on going all the way till the end, he's probably got a good bit more hp too

LT1s have 275 factory flywheel HP... they dyno around 230 at the wheels. This particular Z28 dynos 277 at the wheels (I plan on putting the before and after mods dyno clip up tomorrow)

'99 GT Mustangs dyno about the same as an LT1 at the wheels (between 225 and 230) they are factory rated at 260 flywheel HP... For those who don't know, its typical to lose 40-50hp through the drivetrain (automatics), 4 and 5-speed cars is not quite as bad.

89IROC, you are right about the Mustang pulling out of the hole early... and It is also nice to see you stopping back in brah!

The 5.0 Mustang in the latest clip is simply "badass"... I have a few more clips of this car. It is pushing somewhere around 300+ at the wheels.
