Squeaky Brakes

I have a 2001 CAMRY LE 4 dr which squeaks its brakes when i brake lightly (moving less than 5 mph). I am still under a 60 day bumper-to-bumper warranty and was wondering if I should do anything about this. My friend at Midas said the brakes (all 4) looked great, but he didn't take them apart or anything extensive like that.

thanks!

Re: Squeaky Brakes

It may be the composition of the pads or, that the anti-squeal shims were left off the backs of the pads, or you may simply need some disc brake quiet applied to the back of the pads. In either case I would take the car back to where you bought it and explain the problem. Even if they say there is nothing wrong you have registered the complaint/problem with them while it is still under your 60 day warranty. That way you should be covered if the problem persists even after the warranty expires.
