i have a 92 eclipse 1.8 it does not run anymore but the tranny is brand new and so are several other parts on the engine, the other day i saw a 94 eclipse gs 4cly (dont know if its the same engine?) its needs a tranny i was wondering if i could swap the tranny's ? is it possible ? any help would be greatly appreciated!

if the one you're looking at has a 2.0, then the tranny would bolt up, but on the 1.8 it would be incredibly slow and hard to let out the clutch without stalling.

1.8s and 2.0s transmission are interchangeable. Both bolt up if you looked at the thread titled 4g67 swap to 4g63T. It just has a different gear ratio which is no big deal
