Just broke up
Well, me and my gf just broke up. There wasnt a fight or anything, we've actually never fought. I just asked her if she wanted to stay together, because we're both leaving for college on Saturday, although our colleges are only 45 min. away, and she danced around it and I finally got her to say how she felt, and she said that I'm just not the one for her. I had been feeling it too, but I'd convinced myself I was just confused. I broke down and cried while we were hugging, because thats when I asked her. She's the only that's ever meant this much to me. I know I'll get over it, but it really sucks right now. We're still going to be friends, and thats not just saying we are either. She's never lied to me and never hurt my feelings. It really felt good when she asked me to call her so she'd be sure I made it home okay, because it showed me she does care, even though I knew it in the first place. The one thing that hurt, though, was when she said that I was too nice for her. It hurt because all 4 s I've dated have said that when we broke up. I'm thinkin maybe if I was a total @$$ I might get a to stay with me. I am a nice guy; I spoil every I date, even if I don't have the money to do it. I just needed to get that off of my chest and put it down in writing. I'm at a turning point in my life, I'm leaving for college, and theres just so much weighing on me that I'm having trouble dealing with it. I need to find a release, maybe I'll head out to the driving range tomorrow and take some frustrations out, I dunno. Anyway, I just needed to let that out.

i dated a guy i dubbed "too nice", but he was an awesome guy other than that. i imagine it's hard to meet halfway between "too nice" and "goddamn, what an asshole." the girl you'll truly want to spend the rest of your life might also think you're too nice. but she'll love you for it! just -- be -- yourself!

yeah.. i dont think there is a perfect person for everyone.... its more like... accepting your partners imperfections imo and how well u adjust to them

i think that the only way that someone can be perfect for another person is to be their opposite. maybe not extreme opposites, but i think you should always be learning from the other person, constantly in awe of how amazing they are to you. personally, i cant imagine ever being that way with anyone. but really... the only way to go is up!! so chin up, man. dont ever let a girl - or anyone else for that matter - get the best of you and you'll make it out a better man because of it
