240 vs Sentra SE-R

sup everyone. Right now im driving a 95 Pontiac Grand AM automatic w/ 150k..and its about to fall apart..so im looking into a new used car. Im considering either a 240 and possibly doing SR20 swap or a sentra SE-R. I know if i go w/ the 240, its most likely gona be an older modle..with more miles but cheaper. Sentra most likely means less miles, more money..etc. I was just curious what your opinons or experiences are on the cars as far as durabilitly, speed, fun factor, and modding ease. This car will be my daily driver, so i most likely wont be doing to many mods, just some bolt ons..any advice is welcome, thx Brandon

nah the se-r isn't as fun.. there's nothing like rwd, especially in a sports car. my opinion would be to find a good 240 that would be reliable.. go drive both and see which one you like more

im surprised you said SE-R. 240 is alot more fun and better for mods, power. and theres nothing like revving it up to 6500, dumping the clutch and doing a sideways burnout on bald tires

Stock SE-R V-Spec 2003 took my car in first and the beginning of second. With Intake and Exhaust. You guys didnt catch on to why 240SXSlidestar..said what he said...I would say go with the SE-R as well.

Well this is also comparing old technology vs new. everyone has their opinion, I would say 240.

its basically rwd vs fwd like cory said.. i raced my buddy in his '02 se-r and we were pretty much neck and neck till i let off ( i was in the wrong lane).. both of us are stock besides my intake (probably not a very efficient one at that..)

Test drive both see what you want man. Pay no attention to the Newb with 1270 posts that is 240sxslidestar. All He is doing is trying to get the approval of other ppl by trying to be a wise ass. He says se-r because thats one less 240 for him to own.

SE-R (1990~1995 i think) get it , swap the Pulsar SR20, and go and look for NSX vipers anything that moves!!!

240 S13,S14 get it if u want 2 be fast, and handl good. 240 will out handle any SE-R any day.


the SE-R is light so its faster then any 240 w a SR20, or a KA-T. bcs, 400 WHP on a sentra is just crazy! (i've been in my freinds SE-R, all i have 2 say is its veary fast! 10.3 1/4 mile !)

but i will never ever get a FWD, and w enough $ u can make a 240 just as fast. (KA-t!)

thx for all the replies. Either car i get is gona be more fun than my Grand AM. Im not knocking pontiacs..this car has lasted a long time..but its time to move on. Im still doing research on both cars, if i get either or, ill let yall knw. Keep posting opinions tho, any information is always good to take in..

240. And no not because this is a 240 forum. FWD sux balls. I dont care if ferrari makes it, it still sux. No fun, and well traction issue's are more at hand. I would look to see what fits your budget most. I would take a new se-r for a daily anyday. But if i was going all out on mods, well then i would choose the 240. Its up to your budget and plans with what the car will be used for.
